A
hand held terminal (HHT) can be worth its weight in gold by assisting
with data collection. Working seamlessly with the Electronic Worksheet
system, the HHT can be loaded with one or more worksheets. An employee
takes the terminal to the loading dock or through the aisles to quickly
and accurately scan items. The HHT prompts for the appropriate input,
and when the job is done, indicates the data is ready to upload to a
Catapult workstation. As with any Catapult worksheet, the data can be
verified and edited before it is committed.
Catapult’s
optional Electronic Tender Authorization interfaces works directly with
many of the leading credit, debit and EBT facilitators. This option
takes advantage of industry leading technologies such as Internet-based
electronic authorization gateways, providing many advantages, such as
low-cost, high-speed processing and centralized chain store settlement,
all tightly integrated in one complete package.
