Food service professionals all know that even the best computer systems cannot serve reliably without an exceptional, no-compromise customer-service organization behind it.  At DBS, our primary objective is very simple: to keep your POS System operating safely, reliably and at maximum performance.
 
The checklist below focuses primarily on hardware and services that are vital to the performance of your system.

Verify Backups
*Data backed up locally or on a removable USB thumb drive
Check Anti-Virus
*Anti-Virus software verification
Wiring Check / Cleanup
*Computer and POS wiring evaluated, labeled and certified
Optimize Old Sales Data
*Purging of older sales data and compacting the database
Labeling
*All data jacks and POS stations will be labeled and inventoried
Marketing Support
*Install customer logo or message on guest receipts and screen saver images
Test UPS / Battery Backups
*Test each UPS/Battery Backup
Hardware Checks
*Server and POS Terminal – inspect power supply, motherboard and fans
*Replace any worn or damaged cables
*Clear fans and vents of dust and debris
*Printers will be cleaned and tested
*Touch screens will be cleaned and calibrated
*Credit card Readers will be cleaned and tested
Remote Support
*Test system to verify remote access to system is available during emergencies
